Supported Living Service Manager (Children's Services)
£60,000–£75,000 per year
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation as a Supported Living Service Manager, leading a specialist supported living service for children. This role is ideal for an experienced manager with a strong understanding of children's services, local authority partnerships, and the regulatory requirements needed to deliver outstanding care and support.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the service while driving its continued development. You'll play a key role in building strong relationships with local authorities, ensuring high occupancy levels through successful referrals, and creating an environment where children and young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous management experience within children's residential services, supported living, or supported accommodation.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services.
- Strong knowledge of children's safeguarding legislation, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience working closely with local authorities, commissioning teams, and referral pathways.
- Experience developing positive relationships with multi-agency professionals and external stakeholders.
- Strong operational leadership, organisational, and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
- A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
Supported Living Service Manager Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management and ongoing development of the children's supported living service.
- Ensure the service delivers high-quality, child-centred care that promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, commissioning teams, and external professionals to support referrals and placements.
- Ensure full compliance with safeguarding legislation, children's care regulations, and organisational policies.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and support plans, ensuring every young person's individual needs are met.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing staff team through supervision, coaching, and performance management.
- Monitor service quality, performance, and occupancy, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, reporting, and operational performance in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Promote a positive culture that places children and young people at the heart of every decision.
