Deputy Nursery Manager
Location: Maidenhead
Salary: £35,000 to £39,000 per annum
We are recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a high-quality early years setting in Maidenhead.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional to step into a leadership role within a nursery that is built around exceptional care, inspiring learning environments and a genuine family-focused approach. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintain high standards across the setting and help lead a positive, committed team. This role would suit someone who is hands-on, organised and confident in balancing operational responsibility with strong practice on the floor.

What You’ll Need
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
- Recent experience as a Third in Charge or Deputy Nursery Manager
- Strong working knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Confidence managing staff and maintaining standards
- Clear communication and organisational skills
What You’ll Do
- Support the Nursery Manager in the daily operation of the nursery
- Lead practice on the floor, maintaining high EYFS and safeguarding standards
- Oversee staff performance, room quality, and day-to-day organisation
- Build and maintain professional relationships with parents and carers
- Monitor compliance, safety, and operational consistency
- Contribute to a structured, calm working environment across the setting
