Deputy Nursery Manager – £35,000 - £40,000

 

Are you an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager looking for your next challenge within a high-quality early years setting? This is an exciting opportunity to join a nurturing, home-from-home nursery environment that places a strong emphasis on learning through play and delivering exceptional care for children aged 3 months to pre-school.

 

Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the nursery, maintaining high standards across the setting, and helping to ensure ongoing compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements.

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or above)

  • Proven experience within a nursery leadership role

  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements

  • Confidence supporting teams and contributing to operational decisions

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Passion for delivering high-quality early years care and education

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery

  • Help oversee staff performance, development, and room ratios

  • Ensure a safe, engaging environment focused on learning through play

  • Support inspection readiness and maintain high compliance standards

  • Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and external professionals

  • Monitor safeguarding, quality assurance, and operational standards across the setting

  • Act as a role model for best practice and support team development
