Deputy Nursery Room Leader – Up to £32,000

Are you a dedicated and experienced childcare professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a passionate Deputy Nursery Room Leader to join our nurturing and supportive team, helping to shape the early experiences of the children in our care.

 

As a Deputy Nursery Room Leader, you’ll support the Room Leader in delivering high-quality early years education, creating a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive. You'll also play a key role in guiding and mentoring colleagues, ensuring consistent, exceptional care across the room.

 

About You

  • Qualified: Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent.
  • Experienced: Solid background in a nursery or early years setting, ideally with some leadership experience.
  • Knowledgeable: Confident in the EYFS framework and child development best practices.
  • Supportive Leader: Able to inspire and guide team members, while nurturing strong relationships with children and families.
  • Organised and Responsible: A proactive and positive approach to safeguarding, health & safety, and room routines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Room Leader in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
  • Lead the room in the Room Leader’s absence, ensuring continuity of care and routines.
  • Build warm, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and assess each child’s development, maintaining accurate records.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
  • Promote a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement.
