This nursery is a long-established part of the Tunbridge Wells community, caring for children from three months to five years in a setting designed to feel calm, welcoming, and purposeful. Working alongside the Room Leader, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of care and education while helping to create a positive, nurturing environment where both children and staff can thrive.

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education
• Experience working as a Senior Nursery Practitioner, Deputy Room Leader, or similar role
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A nurturing and child-centred approach
• Confidence supporting colleagues and leading by example

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room
• Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
• Help maintain a calm, organised, and nurturing environment
• Support and mentor practitioners to ensure consistent standards
• Plan engaging learning experiences tailored to children's individual needs
• Observe, assess, and monitor children's development and progress
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery standards at all times
