Deputy Room Leader – Toddler Room

Up to £34,800 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week

 

Through carefully tailored activities, personalised support, and a child-centred approach, the team creates meaningful learning opportunities that help children develop confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.

 

Working closely with the Room Leader, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the room, mentoring colleagues, and helping to deliver outstanding care and education for children during this crucial stage of development.

 

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A nurturing and child-centred approach to childcare

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the Toddler Room
  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
  • Help plan engaging activities tailored to children's individual interests and developmental needs
  • Support children's learning, wellbeing, and emotional development
  • Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Support and guide team members within the room
  • Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery standards at all times
