Room Leader – Baby Room | £28,000–£31,000 | Full-Time

If you're an experienced Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) ready to take the lead in a warm and welcoming baby room, we’d love to hear from you. With a competitive salary of up to £31,000, full-time hours all year round, and key holder responsibilities, this is a role that combines hands-on care, leadership, and room to grow.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) – Essential
  • Experience working with babies in an early years setting
  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role (e.g. Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner) – Desirable
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS, child development, and safeguarding practices
  • Confident in taking on key holder responsibilities and supporting daily operational tasks
  • Warm, reliable, and confident in leading a small team with kindness and professionalism

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the baby room team, ensuring a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for babies aged 3–18 months
  • Supporting the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of each child, tailored to their unique routines
  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate, sensory-rich experiences in line with the EYFS framework
  • Acting as a key holder, contributing to the safe opening/closing of the nursery as required
  • Supporting and mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative and reflective environment
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with families through regular communication and updates
  • Monitoring child development, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring safeguarding standards are always upheld
