Job description

Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or Unqualified) 

Hourly Rate: Up to £13 

20 hours per week 

 

You will be working in a well-established early years setting rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, where quality practice and child development are front and centre. Children benefit from spacious, well-equipped playrooms and daily access to a secure garden that’s fully integrated into the learning programme. The setting delivers purposeful, play-based learning aligned closely with the EYFS framework, giving practitioners the space and structure to do their best work.

What You’ll Need

  • Recent experience as a Nursery Practitioner in a nursery setting
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Recent experience as a Nursery Practitioner in a nursery setting
  • Confident managing a key group and completing observations and assessments
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

Desirable

  • Paediatric First Aid certification

  • Plan and deliver EYFS-aligned activities that support children’s development
  • Act as a key person, maintaining accurate observations and learning records
  • Maintain a safe, clean and compliant learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent care standards
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding progress and wellbeing
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times
