Early Years Practitioner

From £12.71 per hour | Term Time Only | Monday to Friday | 7:45am – 9:00am & 3:00pm – 6:00pm

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming early years setting, supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of children up to five years old. Working during the breakfast and after-school sessions, you'll help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and flourish.

What We’re Looking For

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children aged 0–5 years is desirable.
• Good understanding of child development and safeguarding.
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.

Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where children feel happy and secure.
• Support children's educational, social, and emotional development through play-based learning.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and creativity.
• Promote children's independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Observe children's progress and contribute to their individual development.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
