Nursery Room Leader - Kingston upon Thames  - Up to £34,000

 

Set within a large detached house, this nursery offers spacious, light-filled rooms and a well-used outdoor garden that supports daily learning and play. The setting is part of an established nursery group known for smaller, well-presented environments and a consistent approach to early years education.

 

The successful candidate will lead their room with confidence, support the wider team and help maintain high standards across daily practice. This role would suit an established Room Leader or a strong Senior Practitioner ready to take the next step.

 

Before You Apply

  • This role requires recent experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner in a nursery.
  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential.
  • Applicants must be confident leading a room and maintaining standards independently.

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • Experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner in a nursery
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
  • Ability to manage a room and support staff confidently
  • Clear communication and organisational skills

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room
  • Deliver care and education in line with EYFS requirements
  • Plan and oversee age-appropriate activities and learning
  • Complete observations, assessments, and next steps
  • Build working relationships with parents and provide regular updates
  • Support and guide practitioners within your room
  • Maintain safeguarding, safety, and compliance standards
