Room Leader – Pre-School Room

£32,500 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week

We're looking for an experienced Pre-School Room Leader to join a welcoming nursery where children's learning and development are at the heart of everything they do. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team while supporting children during a crucial stage of their early years journey.

Set within a beautifully converted nursery building, the environment has been thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and exploration. Light, spacious open-plan rooms provide a stimulating learning environment, while extensive outdoor areas with free-flow access allow children to enjoy a balance of indoor and outdoor learning throughout the day.

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or similar role
• Experience working with pre-school-aged children
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and school readiness
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A nurturing and child-centred approach to childcare

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the Pre-School Room
• Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
• Support, mentor, and develop practitioners within the room
• Plan and oversee engaging activities that support children's learning, development, and school readiness
• Monitor children's progress through observations and assessments
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Create a stimulating environment that promotes independence and confidence
• Make full use of indoor and outdoor learning spaces to enrich children's experiences
• Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery standards at all times
