Room Leader – Baby Room

£31,200 per annum | 40 hours per week across 5 days

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Room Leader to join a warm and welcoming nursery with a true home-from-home feel.

This nurturing setting takes a unique approach to early years education, blending the EYFS framework with influences from Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies to create a rich, child-centred learning environment. With a strong focus on curiosity, independence, and emotional wellbeing, the nursery provides children with the best possible start in life.

Holding a Good Ofsted rating, the nursery is committed to maintaining high standards of care and education while creating a supportive and positive environment for both children and staff.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Early Years qualification – essential
• Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner – essential
• Experience working within a baby room environment – Desirable
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework
• Knowledge or interest in Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches
• A nurturing, caring, and child-led approach to early years care
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the baby room and ensuring high-quality care and education
• Creating a calm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for babies
• Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with EYFS and child-led learning approaches
• Supporting children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs
• Building strong relationships with families and colleagues
• Supporting and guiding team members within the room
• Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety standards are consistently met
