Room Leader
£29,600 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early years professional to step into a Room Leader position within a warm and welcoming nursery environment.
The nursery is a Good Ofsted-rated setting, based in a charming converted property, offering a small, homely atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn through play every day.
With well-equipped playrooms, garden areas, and smaller group sizes, the nursery provides personalised care and attention, helping children build confidence, develop strong relationships, and thrive at every stage of their early years journey.
What We're Looking For
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding early years education

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of your designated room
- Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
- Plan and oversee engaging, play-based learning experiences
- Support, mentor, and develop practitioners within your room
- Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress, ensuring every child receives individualised support
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery practice
- Work closely with the management team to continually enhance the quality of the provision
