Room Leader – Toddler Room

Up to £32,500 per annum | 40 Hours Per Week

Working within the Toddler Room, you'll play a key role in supporting children through an important stage of their development, helping them build confidence, independence, communication skills, and a love of learning. The nursery provides a warm and nurturing atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

One of the setting's standout features is its fantastic all-seasons outdoor play area, allowing children to enjoy outdoor learning and active play throughout the year. Whether exploring, creating, investigating, or developing physical skills, children are given endless opportunities to learn through meaningful experiences both indoors and outdoors.

This role is ideal for an experienced early years professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career within a supportive and child-focused setting.

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or similar role
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience supporting and mentoring colleagues
• A nurturing and child-centred approach to childcare

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the Toddler Room
• Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
• Support, mentor, and develop team members
• Plan and oversee engaging learning experiences that support children's development
• Monitor children's progress through observations and assessments
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Make full use of the outdoor learning environment to enhance children's experiences
• Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery standards at all times
