Nursery room leader – Pre-School Room

Salary: £32,000
40 Hours per week

You will be working as Room Leader within a private day nursery in NW10, caring for children aged from 2 to 5 years within a preschool room for up to 15 children This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the room, support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS, and help maintain consistent standards of care and practice.

What You’ll Need

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• At least 3 years’ experience working as an Early Years Practitioner or above
• Previous experience within a preschool or 2–5 age group is ideal, but not essential
• Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
• Confidence taking responsibility for a room and supporting other practitioners
• Clear understanding of safeguarding, health and safety and professional responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Lead the day-to-day running of the preschool room for children aged 2–5
• Plan and support EYFS-aligned activities that promote children’s learning and development
• Act as a key person and maintain accurate observations and learning records
• Support and guide practitioners to maintain consistent standards of care and practice
• Create a safe, well-organised and engaging environment for children
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues about children’s progress and wellbeing
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times
