Senior Nurse – Nursing Home
37.5 hours per week | Day shifts | 1 supernumerary day included | Permanent
Our client, a well-established nursing home, is looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Nurse to join their dedicated team and make a real difference to the lives of older adults in their care.
This is a 37.5-hour-per-week post covering day shifts, with one supernumerary day built in to support your transition and ongoing professional development.
You will blend skilled clinical care with a warm, person-centred approach, helping this nursing home's residents feel truly at home in surroundings designed around comfort, wellbeing and independence.
What They Are Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
- Demonstrable experience in older adult care
- Previous experience within a nursing home setting - highly desirable
- Senior nursing experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-centred approach
- Commitment to delivering consistently high standards of care

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care staff, providing clinical guidance and support on shift
- Carry out and oversee comprehensive assessments of residents' health, care needs and wellbeing
- Develop, implement and regularly review individualised care plans in line with residents' needs and preferences
- Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with NMC standards and home policies
- Monitor residents' conditions and respond promptly and appropriately to any changes
- Liaise with GPs, healthcare professionals and families to ensure a holistic approach to care
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records and documentation
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect and person-centred care at all times
- Support the wider management team in upholding regulatory and CQC compliance standards
