Nursery Manager | Up to £48,000 | 40 hours per week

 

Our client is a well-established Nursery with a warm, welcoming culture and a true passion for nurturing young minds. Based in a beautifully designed nursery with exceptional outdoor learning spaces, this is a place where children thrive—and staff do too.

 

They are now looking for an experienced, dedicated Nursery Manager to lead their team and uphold the high standards that have earned the setting consistent Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a deep commitment to quality early years education to take the reins of a truly inspiring environment.

 

As Nursery Manager, you will take the lead in managing the day-to-day running of the nursery, supporting your team to deliver exceptional care and education. With a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and child-led play, the setting provides a creative and engaging environment where children can explore, grow, and develop confidently.

 

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Proven experience as a Nursery Manager in a regulated early years setting
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and experience in leading inspections
  • A track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A passion for early childhood education, particularly outdoor learning and nature-based play
  • A genuine commitment to inclusion, equality, and high-quality care for all children

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and inspire a passionate team of early years professionals
  • Ensure the nursery operates in line with Ofsted and EYFS requirements, maintaining Good or Outstanding standards
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing space for all children and families
  • Oversee planning and delivery of the curriculum with a focus on outdoor learning and holistic development
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and operational processes efficiently
  • Promote a positive culture of wellbeing, collaboration, and continuous improvement
