Nursery Practitioner – Up to £34,000 - 40 Hours

 

This is a smaller nursery where the focus is on creating an environment that feels engaging, calm, and genuinely supportive for children as they grow in confidence. In the toddler room, the day is hands-on, with a mix of play, learning, and routines that help children develop socially, physically, and emotionally.

 

Before You Apply

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Recent experience working in a toddler room or similar early years setting is required.
  • This role is not suitable for candidates without hands-on nursery experience.

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working as a Nursery Practitioner in a toddler room (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
  • Ability to work confidently within a small team
  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Deliver activities that support learning and development in line with EYFS
  • Create a safe, engaging, and well-organised room environment
  • Support children through daily routines, transitions, and play
  • Observe and record development, contributing to assessments
  • Work closely with colleagues within the room
  • Communicate with parents about children’s progress and daily experiences
