Senior Healthcare Assistant – Neurological & Specialist Care | 37.5 Hours per week | Up to £14 per hour + Enhancements

 

Please note a full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential, as there is no public transport available to the site.


Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join a dedicated team providing high-quality care to adults with neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive environment where service users are at the heart of everything.

 

This role offers full-time hours, and a competitive pay rate of up to £14 per hour, with enhanced rates for weekends, bank holidays, and overtime.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Healthcare Assistant.
  • Ideally experienced in neurological, complex care, or palliative care.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care standards, and infection control.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support with the assessment, planning, delivery, and review of personalised care plans.
  • Provide high-quality personal care in line with best practice and individual needs.
  • Observe, record, and report changes in service users’ wellbeing.
  • Encourage independence, dignity, and personal choice in daily activities.
  • Contribute to a safe and nurturing environment by following safeguarding and health & safety protocols.
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Act as a role model, supporting and guiding Healthcare Assistants where required.
