Based in a beautifully maintained home, the role offers 37.5 hours per week, working alongside a supportive team in a rewarding and person-centred environment.
As the Chef, you'll be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving delicious and well-balanced meals that meet the nutritional needs of older adults, including those with specific dietary requirements. From traditional favourites to textured diets, you’ll be confident working to high standards in a professional kitchen and understand the importance of food safety, infection control, and presentation.

- Experience working in a care home or professional kitchen
- A good understanding of COSHH, infection control, and dietary needs
- Knowledge of food textures, allergens, and menu planning for older adults
- A warm, flexible approach and passion for food that brings comfort and enjoyment
- A positive team spirit and a commitment to safe, person-centred care
Why Join the Team?:
- Annual leave that increases with service
- Wellbeing programme to support your mental and physical health
- Company sick pay and pension scheme
- Full induction and training programme
- A friendly, caring workplace where every team member is valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals in line with residents' dietary needs
- Plan menus with variety, nutritional value, and seasonal ingredients
- Cater for specialist diets including soft and textured foods, diabetic needs, and allergies
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and infection control
- Ensure compliance with COSHH and other kitchen health & safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with care and support staff to understand resident preferences
- Maintain accurate food safety and temperature records
