Deputy Nurse Manager – Up to £47,500

The home is bright, calm and has been designed with residents in mind. As Deputy Nurse Manager RGN/RMN, you’ll play a visible leadership role across nursing and dementia care, combining hands-on practice with supernumerary time.

 

Before you apply

  • This role requires current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.
  • You must have recent nursing home experience, including senior-level responsibility.
  • This position is not suitable for nurses without dementia care experience.

What You’ll Need

  • Active NMC registration (RGN or RMN)
  • Proven experience in a nursing home environment
  • Previous senior nurse or clinical leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of dementia care and regulatory compliance
  • Confidence managing staff and clinical decision-making

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead clinical practice on shift and oversee care delivery standards
  • Support the Home Manager with audits, compliance, and CQC readiness
  • Supervise and mentor nursing and care staff
  • Manage medication, care planning, and clinical risk
  • Act as clinical lead in the absence of the Home Manager
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across dementia care provision
