Deputy Nursery Manager – Up to £38,000

 

Our client, a well-established, family-run nursery with an Outstanding Ofsted rating is looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to lead practice across the rooms. This is a hands-on leadership role, supporting Room Leaders to maintain high standards in teaching, compliance and daily organisation.

 

Before You Apply

  • This role requires recent experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or senior Room Leader in a nursery.
  • A full and relevant Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years is essential.
  • Applicants must be confident leading staff and overseeing statutory compliance.

What You’ll Need

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or Third In Charge in a nursery
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and safeguarding requirements
  • Experience supporting staff development and leading practice improvement
  • Confidence managing compliance and preparing for Ofsted inspection

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support and lead Room Leaders in reviewing room layout, resources, and daily routines
  • Train and mentor staff to improve teaching and learning standards
  • Monitor practice to ensure full compliance with the EYFS statutory framework
  • Liaise with the Nursery Manager on quality improvements and implementation plans
  • Oversee planning and learning outcomes across age groups
  • Promote a safe, stimulating learning environment including forest school activities
