Deputy Nursery Manager – Full Time – Up to £35,000

 

Based in a beautifully converted Victorian house with bright, well-equipped rooms and a spacious garden, this Deputy Nursery Manager role combines daily operational leadership with direct involvement in children’s learning. You’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to maintain standards, support staff performance, and ensure the setting runs smoothly across the week.

 

Before You Apply

  • This role requires a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Recent experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or Third in Charge is essential.
  • This position is not suitable for candidates without leadership experience in an Early Years setting.

What You’ll Need

  • Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years
  • Experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or Third in Charge
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
  • Confidence managing staff ratios, compliance, and daily operations

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery
  • Lead staff practice to maintain high standards of care and education
  • Oversee room planning and ensure EYFS compliance
  • Monitor staff performance and contribute to supervision meetings
  • Step into full operational responsibility in the Manager’s absence
