Deputy Room Leader Level 3 – Up to £30,000 – Full Time

 

Children here spend their days exploring, playing, and learning through carefully planned activities that balance structure with curiosity. The nursery cares for children from 3 months through to pre-school age, creating a calm and consistent environment where play supports development. Practitioners work together to keep the day organised, engaging, and responsive to each child’s stage of learning.

 

Before You Apply

  • This role requires recent experience working in a nursery as a qualified practitioner.
  • Applicants must hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • You should be confident supporting room organisation and guiding colleagues when required.

 

Key Job Details

  • Salary up to £30,000, depending on experience
  • Full-time position – 40 hours per week
  • Permanent contract

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
  • Good understanding of EYFS and safeguarding practices
  • Confidence supporting room routines and mentoring colleagues

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Room Leader with the organisation of the room and daily routines
  • Plan and deliver activities aligned with the EYFS framework
  • Observe and record children’s development and learning progress
  • Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards within the room
  • Support and guide practitioners within the team when required
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
