Head Chef – Nursing Home Catering | £31,200 | 40 Hours, No Evenings
Our client is looking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen in a beautiful care home setting surrounded by stunning gardens. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled chef to design and deliver menus that balance nutrition, flavour, and presentation, supporting the health and wellbeing of older adults.

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready for the next step.
- Ideally, experience working in a nursing home, care home, or similar healthcare environment.
- Excellent knowledge of nutrition, special diets, allergies, and hydration.
- Strong leadership, organisation, and kitchen management skills.
- Ability to create appealing, nutritious, and high-quality meals for older adults.
- Food hygiene and safety certifications (or willingness to update as required).

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals in a care home setting.
- Plan and prepare seasonal menus that cater for a variety of dietary needs, including allergies, modified textures, and hydration requirements.
- Ensure meals meet both nutritional standards and a fine dining presentation.
- Oversee food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance.
- Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen budgets effectively.
- Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Work collaboratively with care staff to support residents’ health and wellbeing through tailored diets.
