Nursery Chef – £14 per hour – Monday to Friday

 

You will be responsible for preparing and delivering nutritious, enjoyable meals to children across the nursery, while managing allergies and dietary requirements as part of the daily service.

 

The perfect candidate will have experience as a Chef with a creative flair who can design nutritious menus, manage stock, and maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

 

Before You Apply

  • This role requires previous professional chef or catering experience.

  • A clear DBS check and valid food hygiene certificate are required.

  • Pay: £14 per hour
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Setting: Nursery

What You’ll Need

  • Professional chef or catering experience in a similar setting

Desirable

  • Experience in nursery, school, or healthcare catering
  • Additional food safety or nutrition training

 

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and cook daily meals for children in line with set nursery menus
  • Plan and adapt meals to meet allergy and specialist dietary requirements
  • Maintain food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Manage stock levels and basic kitchen ordering
  • Work independently while coordinating with nursery staff on meal timings
