Nursery Manager

Job description

Nursery Manager | Up to £45,000 | 40 Hours per Week

Lead with purpose. Inspire your team. Shape the future for every child.

Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead their well-established setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident early years leader to combine strategic oversight with hands-on support — ensuring every child receives the best possible start in life.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, a love for early education, and a commitment to excellence. You’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, empower your team, and foster a warm, inclusive environment where children can thrive and staff feel valued.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Early Years Educator (minimum) — higher qualifications in Early Years or Management are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Proven track record as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager within a high-quality early years setting.
  • Knowledge: Excellent understanding of child development, EYFS, Ofsted regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organisation, financial management, and communication skills.
  • Passion: A genuine commitment to creating a safe, joyful, and inspiring learning environment for children and staff alike.

Why Join This Nursery?

  • Competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum.
  • Employee benefits platform offering discounts, cashback, and savings.
  • Generous childcare discount for your own family.
  • Wellbeing day in addition to annual leave.
  • Healthcare cashback plan for everyday medical costs.
  • Supportive, collaborative team culture with a strong sense of community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the nursery.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional childcare and education.
  • Drive excellence across all areas — from learning outcomes to safeguarding and compliance.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of a broad, engaging EYFS curriculum.
  • Manage budgets, occupancy, and parent partnerships with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment both indoors and outdoors.
  • Build strong relationships with families, staff, and external partners.
  • Ensure the nursery meets and exceeds Ofsted and EYFS standards at all times.
