Nursery Practitioner
Salary: £28,000

 

Are you a passionate and nurturing childcare professional looking to make a real impact? We’re looking for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our client’s friendly and supportive early years team. In this rewarding role, you’ll help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children aged 0–5 can thrive, learn, and grow.

 

As a Nursery Practitioner, you'll play a vital role in supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and educational development. Your creativity, patience, and care will help shape their early experiences and set a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A recognised childcare qualification – Level 2 or 3 in Early Years (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting.
  • Sound knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A warm, caring nature and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan and lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities to support children’s development.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all children.
  • Observe, monitor, and document children’s progress, and share updates with parents and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Build trusting, respectful relationships with children and families.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
