Nursery Room Leader – Up to £30,000


Our client, a welcoming and well-established nursery, is looking for as experienced Nursery Room Leader to guide a team and support children’s development through high-quality care and education.

 

This vibrant nursery provides a warm, child-led environment that supports learning through play, exploration, and creativity. The team is passionate about promoting positive early years experiences and values strong relationships with children, families, and staff alike.

 

As the Nursery Room Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the room, leading a small team to deliver an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years – essential.
  • Proven experience working in a nursery or early years setting, ideally with some supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and child development principles.
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and deliver stimulating activities that promote children’s development, wellbeing, and curiosity.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support room staff, encouraging professional growth and best practice.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and observations, supporting their individual learning journeys.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with parents and carers, sharing updates and supporting partnership working.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are consistently upheld.
