Nursery Room Leader – Toddler Room | £14–£14.50 per hour

Our client, a friendly and family-owned nursery with a Good Ofsted rating, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join their close-knit team. The nursery offers a warm, community feel and is set in a beautiful space featuring a large outdoor area with a mud kitchen, all-weather play area, and playground – providing children with endless opportunities to explore and learn through play, rain or shine.

The successful Nursery Room Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily running of the toddler room, supporting the development and wellbeing of each child, and leading a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent) – essential.
• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting, ideally in a room leader or senior practitioner role.
• Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Warm, approachable, and inclusive leadership style.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the toddler room team to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.
• Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities to support each child’s learning and development.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate records.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and all nursery policies and procedures.
