Job description
Nursery Room Leader – Level 3 Early Years | Up to £31,000 + Fantastic Benefits
Join a thoughtfully designed nursery offering a true home-from-home environment where children — and staff — can thrive.
Our client, a nurturing and well-established early years setting, is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join their warm and dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Early Years professional looking to take the next step in their career and grow within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Set in a beautifully designed space that feels like home, the nursery focuses on creating a calm, caring, and inspiring atmosphere where every child is respected as an individual — and where staff are genuinely valued.
As the Room Leader, you will lead a team of practitioners in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment. You’ll play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality care and early education in line with the EYFS framework, nurturing strong bonds with both children and families.
What They’re Looking For
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding practices
- A caring, creative, and inclusive approach to early childhood development
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A team player with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Perks & Benefits
- Competitive salary up to £31,000, depending on experience
- Clear progression pathways and regular training opportunities
- Company pension scheme
- Generous company sick pay
- Additional day off for your birthday
- Long service awards to recognise your contribution
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for wellbeing support
- A welcoming, purpose-built nursery designed with comfort, creativity, and calm in mind
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team within your designated room to deliver outstanding care and education
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support children’s development
- Monitor and track progress, maintaining accurate observations and records
- Build strong relationships with families and carers, promoting effective communication
- Ensure the room meets all safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements
- Support the wider nursery team and leadership with ideas, energy, and professionalism
