Nursery Room Leader (Level 3) – Up to £28,000

 

Children at this nursery spend their days exploring bright, engaging playrooms and a large outdoor space designed for active learning. As a Nursery Room Leader, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, leading practice, guiding colleagues, and ensuring consistent EYFS delivery. The setting is purpose-built, well established, and rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

 

Before You Apply

  • This role requires recent experience as a Room Leader or a senior Nursery Practitioner with room-level responsibility.
  • Applicants must hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
  • This position is not suitable for candidates without experience leading practice within a nursery room.

  • Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day running of your designated room
  • Plan, deliver, and review EYFS activities in line with children’s interests
  • Support and guide practitioners working within your room
  • Monitor observations, assessments, and record keeping
  • Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards
  • Build positive working relationships with parents and carers
  • Work closely with senior staff to ensure consistency across the nursery

 

What You’ll Need

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Recent experience as a Room Leader or senior practitioner
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS
  • Confidence leading practice and supporting staff within a room
  • Ability to maintain high standards across care, learning, and compliance
