Registered Manager – Children’s Home (Ofsted) – Up to £54,000

As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of this Ofsted-registered children’s home. You will ensure the home is a positive, stable, and caring place where children and young people can thrive, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and leading a motivated and skilled team.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Registered Manager or senior leadership role within a children’s home.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, inspections, safeguarding, whistleblowing, and supervision practices.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive for work purposes.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team in a children’s residential setting.
  • Clear enhanced DBS check.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations and guidance.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, welfare, and quality of care.
  • Lead, support, and develop staff through supervision, training, and mentoring.
  • Prepare for and manage inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Foster a warm, stable, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and maintain accurate records.
  • Build strong partnerships with children, families, and external professionals.
