With a salary of up to £55,000, excellent training and development, and the opportunity to leave your mark on a new service, this role is ideal for a passionate leader who wants to combine career progression with making a lasting difference.
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Residential Care or the willingness to work towards it (must already hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent).
- Proven experience managing a children’s residential home.
- Strong leadership, people management, and organisational skills.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, children’s rights, and residential childcare standards.
- Ability to work flexibly, including on-call duties.
- Passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.
Why Join the Service?
- Competitive salary of up to £55,000.
- Comprehensive induction programme to set you up for success.
- Fully funded training and qualifications to support your professional development.
- Access to a benefits portal with a range of discounts and perks.
- Company pension scheme for financial security.
- Paid DBS check.
- An additional day off for your birthday to celebrate.
- Meals provided during shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, supportive leadership to staff teams within the children’s home.
- Ensure the home consistently meets or exceeds Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
- Lead by example in creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children and young people.
- Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and daily operations of the home.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff, supporting them to reach their full potential.
- Manage budgets, resources, and administrative responsibilities effectively.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, families, and professionals to deliver the best outcomes.
