Our client, a beautifully renovated nursery in the heart of Farnham, is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join their growing team. Just minutes from Farnham train station, the nursery offers a warm, home-from-home environment where children thrive through play, curiosity, and a bespoke curriculum designed to let them shine.

 

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will guide and inspire a dedicated team within one of the nursery’s rooms. You’ll create an engaging and nurturing learning environment where children can explore, grow, and develop at their own pace.

 

This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about child-led learning, confident in leading a team, and motivated by making a lasting impact on children’s early years.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience leading a nursery room within a childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and a passion for child-led, play-based learning.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
  • A proactive, positive, and caring attitude, with a genuine love for working with children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support your team to deliver high-quality early years care and education.
  • Champion the EYFS framework and ensure the nursery’s bespoke curriculum is at the heart of daily practice.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can explore and learn freely.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with families and involve them in their child’s development journey.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are always upheld.
  • Drive team development through coaching, reflective practice, and peer observations.
