Sous Chef – Nursing Home
Salary: Up to £32,200
Full-Time, 40 Hours

They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join their kitchen team. - Proven experience as a Sous Chef, ideally within a nursing home or care setting.
- Strong knowledge of different diets, nutrition, hydration, and allergies.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality meals and enhancing residents’ wellbeing.
- Flexible, organised, and able to work independently when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals in line with residents’ dietary requirements, nutritional needs, and food preferences.
- Support the Head Chef in menu planning, stock management, and kitchen operations.
- Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are consistently met.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Adapt meals to accommodate allergies, specific diets, and hydration needs.
- Contribute to a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents.
- Assist with ordering, stock control, and kitchen organisation.
