What We’re Looking For

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Proven success as a Registered Home Manager within elderly residential or nursing care.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and best practice frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience in turning around services or improving CQC ratings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing care home budgets.
  • A passion for promoting dignity, diversity, and inclusion in every aspect of care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the residential care home.
  • Drive improvement plans, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and external frameworks.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive culture that values dignity, respect, and empowerment.
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resources effectively to ensure sustainability and quality.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, and continuous professional development of staff.
  • Maintain accurate records, audits, and quality monitoring systems.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.
  • Confidently lead inspections and implement robust action plans for ongoing improvement.
