What You’ll Need
Essential:
- Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent) + willingness to complete Level 5.
- Experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager in children’s residential care.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulations and compliance.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic models.
Desirable:
- Level 5 Leadership & Management.
- Experience opening or registering a new children’s home.
What You’ll Do
- Register and manage the new children’s home in line with Ofsted and regulations.
- Recruit, lead and develop the staff team.
- Maintain high-quality safeguarding, behaviour support, and compliance.
- Oversee records, audits, inspections and care planning.
- Manage budgets, rotas and operational systems.
- Build strong links with local authorities and external partners.
