Deputy Nurse Manager | £55,000

Our client is looking for an experienced and dedicated Deputy Nurse Manager to join their well-established, beautifully appointed nursing home for older adults.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse-qualified professional with a background in nursing homes to step into a senior leadership role, supporting the Registered Home Manager in delivering exceptional care.

As the Deputy Nurse Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager and wider clinical team to ensure high standards of care and compliance are maintained throughout the service. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offering a great mix of hands-on clinical leadership and day-to-day operational support.

What You’ll Need

• Registered Nurse (NMC pin) – essential
• Experience working in a nursing home setting
• Previous experience as a Clinical Lead or Deputy Nurse Manager
• Excellent clinical knowledge and understanding of dementia, nursing, and elderly care
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of the home
• Lead, supervise, and mentor the clinical team to deliver outstanding nursing care
• Ensure care plans are up-to-date, personalised, and aligned with best practice
• Promote and maintain CQC compliance across all clinical areas
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals
• Manage audits, medication safety, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
• Take the lead in the absence of the Home Manager
