Deputy Room Leader - Toddler Room - £30,000

 

The toddler room is a busy, engaging space where children are gaining independence and confidence every day. As Deputy Room Leader, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the room, help guide routines, and work closely with the Room Leader to maintain a structured, safe, and stimulating environment.

 

Before You Apply

  • Recent experience as a Senior Practitioner or Deputy Room Leader in a nursery setting is essential.
  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Room Leader in maintaining high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding
  • Help guide practitioners to deliver age-appropriate activities and routines
  • Contribute to planning and implementing the EYFS curriculum
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Monitor children’s progress and support observations and assessments
  • Ensure compliance with nursery policies and Early Years regulations

 

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
  • Recent experience in a senior nursery practitioner or similar role
  • Good understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
  • Ability to support a team and take responsibility when required
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Experience within a toddler room
