Job description
Director of Clinical Services – RMN or RNLD
Salary: Up to £55,000
Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
We are delighted to be working with a well-established provider of high-dependency rehabilitation services for adults with complex mental health needs. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced clinical leader to step into a strategic, high-impact role where compassionate care and operational excellence go hand in hand.
As Director of Clinical Services, you will play an important role in shaping and overseeing the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care across the service. Working as part of the senior leadership team, you’ll ensure clinical standards remain exceptional, teams are supported and inspired, and the organisation stays compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered Nurse (RMN or RNLD) with active NMC registration
- Previous experience in a similar senior clinical role – minimum Ward Manager level
- Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and statutory healthcare regulations
- Proven experience in budget management and service development
- Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
What’s On Offer:
- Paid NMC renewal fees
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for 24/7 wellbeing support
- Comprehensive staff benefits scheme
- Onsite parking
- Subsidised meals
- Additional day off for your birthday
- Pension scheme
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide clinical oversight and direction to nursing and care teams, supporting the overall delivery of safe, recovery-focused care.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the service consistently meets CQC standards and statutory regulations, preparing for inspections and leading on quality improvement initiatives.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and empower clinical teams – fostering a culture of accountability, empathy, and continuous learning.
- Budget & Resource Management: Take responsibility for clinical budgets, staffing levels, and resourcing to ensure operational effectiveness without compromising on care quality.
- Governance & Risk: Monitor clinical performance, incident management, and safeguarding to ensure high standards of safety and governance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Registered Manager, medical team, and external stakeholders to ensure joined-up, holistic care for service users.
