Nursery Manager | Up to £45,000 | 40 Hours Per Week

 

Our client, a values-driven childcare provider, is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead a beautiful, well-resourced nursery that places children’s wellbeing, creativity, and development at the heart of everything it does.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, caring, and motivated manager who wants to make a real difference — creating a nurturing space where children learn through play, staff feel supported, and families feel truly valued.

 

As Nursery Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding. You’ll lead a team of dedicated practitioners, support their development, and foster a positive, collaborative culture across the nursery.

 

What They’re Looking For

  • Level 3 or above in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent) – essential
  • Proven experience as a Nursery Manager
  • A successful track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • A deep understanding of the EYFS and child-led, play-based learning
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A warm, approachable, and proactive management style

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the nursery team to deliver high-quality care and education
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted, EYFS, and all relevant safeguarding policies
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for children aged 0–5
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and staff
  • Manage budgets, staffing, training, and resources efficiently
  • Drive continuous improvement and staff development
  • Champion a child-centred approach where children thrive through play
