Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join the team at their newly opened, purpose-built nursery.

 

Located in a thoughtfully designed setting, the nursery features age-specific rooms, a spacious outdoor playground, and even a vegetable patch—creating a fun and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, play, and grow. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 3 qualified early years professional with senior experience to step into a leadership role and help shape the culture of a brand-new setting.

 

As the Nursery Room Leader, you’ll lead a small team within one of the age-group rooms, ensuring the highest standards of care and education. You'll be a key role model in the nursery—guiding your team, supporting children’s development, and creating a warm and welcoming space for families.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Proven senior experience in a nursery or early years setting
  • A solid understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and health & safety practices
  • Confident leadership skills with a positive and supportive attitude
  • A genuine passion for early childhood development
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily running of your room, creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Supervise, mentor and support practitioners within your team
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
  • Monitor and record children’s progress and ensure their individual needs are met
  • Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety and wellbeing standards are maintained
