Nursery Room Leader (Level 3+) – £30,500 – Permanent – 40 hours per week
Working within a beautiful character nursery, the Room Leader spends each day leading one of the rooms, balancing hands-on care with management of routines, planning, and staff practice. Children move through spacious, airy rooms and a substantial outdoor garden, using age-appropriate resources that are already well established. The focus is on steady, consistent care and learning rather than constant change or firefighting.
Before You Apply
- This role requires recent experience as a Room Leader or as a highly experienced nursery practitioner ready to lead a room.
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) is essential.

What You’ll Need
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above), full and relevant
- Proven experience as a Nursery Room Leader or senior practitioner
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Confidence taking responsibility for a room and leading practice day to day

What You’ll Do
- Lead the day-to-day running of your room, maintaining consistent routines and standards
- Plan and oversee age-appropriate learning and care in line with the EYFS
- Support and guide practitioners working within the room
- Monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate records
- Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety requirements are met at all times
- Work with the wider nursery team to maintain smooth transitions and cover
