Deputy Nurse Manager – Nursing Home | Up to £50,000 | Monday–Friday | Great Benefits

 

Our client is looking for an experienced and compassionate Deputy Nurse Manager to join their warm and welcoming nursing home, which proudly holds a Good CQC rating. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a motivated and qualified nurse to play a key role in delivering person-centred care to older adults, many of whom require nursing or dementia support.

 

As Deputy Nurse Manager, you’ll work closely with the Home Manager to lead, inspire, and support the nursing and care teams. You’ll play a vital part in maintaining a safe, caring, and empowering environment for residents and staff alike. With a hands-on approach and strong clinical knowledge, you’ll help ensure the home operates efficiently while maintaining its person-centred ethos.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Must be a qualified RGN or RMN, with a valid NMC PIN
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Nurse Manager or similar leadership role within a nursing home setting
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, safeguarding, and clinical governance
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and team-building skills
  • Passionate about providing person-centred care to older adults, including those living with dementia

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursing home
  • Provide strong clinical leadership and mentorship to staff
  • Ensure high standards of nursing and dementia care in line with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and audit care plans, risk assessments, and medication systems
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Step in to cover clinical shifts when required in emergency situations
  • Promote a culture of dignity, inclusion, and respect across the service
