 Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN or RMN) – Dementia Care | Up to £52,000 + Excellent Benefits


Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a proven background in leading clinical teams within a nursing home environment? This Deputy Nurse Manager position offers an excellent opportunity for a confident, proactive clinician who takes pride in delivering outstanding care and guiding others to do the same.

 

You’ll bring expertise in areas such as dementia care, safeguarding, supervisions, and clinical risk management, ensuring the highest standards of practice across the home. Working closely with the Home Manager, you’ll provide strong leadership, inspire your colleagues, and play a key role in maintaining a safe, compassionate, and well-managed service where residents truly feel at home.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with active NMC pin.
  • Proven experience in a senior or deputy role within a nursing home setting.
  • Strong knowledge of dementia care and person-centred support.
  • Confident in managing supervisions, mentoring staff, and clinical governance.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the clinical and care team to deliver exceptional nursing care.
  • Oversee clinical risk assessments, care planning, and medication management.
  • Support and conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and training initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, CQC regulations, and best practice standards.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and external professionals to promote wellbeing and dignity.
  • Take charge in the absence of the Home Manager, ensuring smooth daily operations.
