Are you a passionate Early Years Practitioner ready to take the next step in your childcare career? This exciting opportunity as Third in Charge offers the chance to support a dedicated management team within a stunning converted nursery, complete with a bespoke garden, playground, and plenty of space for children to explore and learn.
This role would be an ideal next move for a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner who is looking to step up into a leadership role with greater responsibility, while still staying hands-on in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Working 40 hours per week all year round, you’ll play a key role in inspiring colleagues, supporting the smooth running of the nursery, and helping to create a warm, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Leadership skills with the ability to support and inspire others.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
Why Join This Nursery?
- Discounted childcare for employees.
- Christmas closure for time to recharge with loved ones.
- Life assurance for peace of mind.
- Access to a health and wellbeing programme.
- Company pension scheme.
- Ongoing training, career progression, and development opportunities.
As Third in Charge, you will:
- Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy in the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Lead and motivate a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality early years education.
- Act as a role model, ensuring best practice in line with the EYFS framework.
- Provide safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning opportunities for children aged 0–5.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are met at all times.
