Are you a passionate Early Years Practitioner ready to take the next step in your childcare career? This role would be an ideal next move for a Room Leader or Senior Nursery Practitioner who is looking to step up into a leadership role with greater responsibility, while still staying hands-on in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Working 40 hours per week all year round, you’ll play a key role in inspiring colleagues, supporting the smooth running of the nursery, and helping to create a warm, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Leadership skills with the ability to support and inspire others.
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

As Third in Charge, you will:

• Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy in the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Lead and motivate a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality early years education.
• Act as a role model, ensuring best practice in line with the EYFS framework.
• Provide safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning opportunities for children aged 0–5.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are met at all times.
