Senior Healthcare Assistant (Nights) – £14.50 per hour | Full-Time

Our client is a leading provider of high-quality residential, dementia, and nursing care for older adults. Their nursing home has been thoughtfully designed to support the comfort, wellbeing, and dignity of every resident — and they’re now looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their dedicated night team.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in a warm, professional care environment where you can genuinely make a difference every single night.

Working closely with the night team and management, the Senior Healthcare Assistant will lead by example, offering hands-on care and guidance to staff. You’ll ensure each resident receives personalised support tailored to their needs, promoting dignity, choice, and comfort throughout the night.

 

What They’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, ideally in a senior or team leader role
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or working towards)
  • A kind, calm, and reliable presence during night-time hours
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care to older adults
  • Experience in residential, dementia or nursing care settings is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care during night shifts
  • Supervise and support care staff to maintain excellent standards
  • Administer medication in line with policy (where applicable)
  • Respond to residents’ needs promptly and with empathy
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safe handovers
  • Act as a positive role model and support the onboarding of new staff
  • Liaise with families and external professionals as required
